I am writing to you to inform that A T Palmer Ltd are taking actions to ensure the wellbeing of our employees, colleagues and customers in response to the growing threat from Coronavirus.
Employers have a legal duty to protect the health and safety of their employees. As the situation is changing daily, we will continue to keep ourselves abreast of the latest information from Government and Trade Associations to help safeguard employees and customers on our sites and in our office during this pandemic. We will aim to try and maintain our fundamental operations during these difficult times ahead.
Our strategy includes:
Company Secretary, Natasha Palmer, will continue to monitor UK Government, Public Health England and any association guidance.
Ensure employees receive regular briefings regarding any new or updates aimed at protecting staff and clients.
Encourage remote working wherever possible.
Restricting direct contact between all parties wherever possible.
Site meetings to be carried out in open spaces or via video calls where possible, (new software being implemented).
Site staff will not take communal breaks in welfare facilities.
Reaffirm the use of regular hand washing thoroughly for at least 20 seconds.
Increasing the availability and use of hand sanitizers on site.
Segregating employees into smaller teams that maintain a single site presence wherever possible.
Daily confirmation first thing every morning of all parties visiting site, any cold like symptoms on every site and immediate self-isolation where required, with detailed records being kept at office.
Immediate Self-isolation following any symptoms of COVID-19, these being: A new continuous cough, a high temperature, shortage of breath. Anyone displaying these symptoms will be sent home immediately and advised to follow the stay at home guidance.
People who share the same household with someone who has the symptoms described above must self-isolate for 14 days.
Increased social distancing.
Increased segregation of projects site from clients living quarters wherever possible.
Face to face office meetings in enclosed spaces are all cancelled and to be carried out via phone or open spaces.
Please be assured A T Palmer Ltd will continue to do everything within their control to minimise any risk of the virus being transmitted to or between any of our sites or office.
